Because you spend more time trying to locate the fish, than actually fishing! But once we found them it was on. Sunday fished all day with a buddy and we caught 100+ fish with about 20-30 being nice 15-17 inch hybrids. He caught dbl hybrids!(one on top jig and one on bottom slab) talk about a fight filled the cooler Monday I went with brightideas and same thing slow going till we found them. Once we found them it was non stop. filled the cooler in no time. It was strange in the final "sweet spot" we caught sandies, hybrids, crappie, catfish, and drum. All chasing big bait balls. Still haven't found the elusive 18+ hybrid. But its only a matter of time. Thank you mother hubbard for the great fishing!

Nice!! Sounds like you had a lot of fun. How deep did you find them and around what (if any) structure were they? Thanks.

Patrick sure can find them! We fished all morning and only managed a few fish. Then at about 2pm mid lake, we found them and stayed on top of them until about 5pm. Caught some hybrids as well all about 16".

Good report... It's so true. You find them, they move. But once your on them it's on. This time of year they are all deep and feeding getting ready for the spawn. Love this winter fishing. Because the fish bite and the weather is cool. Will see you out there. I think we were near you all Sunday AM. I was with Plano Keith fishing.

Great report and way to go. I think we were near you all Sunday AM. I was with Plano Keith fishing. Speaking of being near. Just for FYI when a boat sets up a drift and is heading toward a boat that is spot locked and both are pounding ( calling fish ) when they get with in 30 to 40 yards of each other the fish will scatter and they will not know which way to go. 100 yards is a minimum i would say. On the other hand two boats can be 15 feet from each other and the fish will stay and it will attract more fish. No offense just offering some info

Thanks for the info PK. Never heard of that. Both Sunday and Monday boats pulled up around us and beated and it seemed that everyone was catching.

Anyone fish yesterday? Basically the same weather conditions as Monday aside from morning fog.
