Hang in there. It's really changing week to week. They'll start getting ready for prespawn real soon the females have great egg development and will start to download in 50 days or so. Warmer days they can be holding on brush piles 12-15 feet colder days the whites go deeper. Like Banker says you just got to get out there and look for em. Once you find them you'll have a good idea where to look all over the river lakes. It's pretty much the same on all of them. As for bait...I'm a fan of MR. CRAPPIE line of baits. They work.

Does anyone know the closet place to buy minnows near the river?I live in Marion. The Bait en Bar in Mcqueeney. They are off of FM725. They open at 10am but sometimes they are there at 9am.
