It has been a few years since I have been on Ray Roberts. Launched out of Buck Creek on Saturday. With the lake levels conditions lower than I have fished in the past, I have a question regarding two exposed masses as you leave from the ramp at Buck Creek and headed towards Indian Creek.

A short distance after coming under the railroad bridges there is a huge tree in the center of the lane used by boats headed towards the Indian Creek or the main lake. Beyond the tree, headed westward, there are two humps (land masses) which are exposed - on is more towards the north shore and the other south of it.

My question, are those two exposed masses the tops of Walling and St. James Hump? Curious since I though the tops of those humps were in deeper water.

Are you referring to coming down the RR trestle that folks use of the actual creek channel? Sound like the creek channel since you refenced the big tree. As you pass Big Bass Point then walling would be to north and high and dry as it's pretty shallow when full. To the south there is a high spot on the trestle you might see out. St James would be pretty close to were you come out of the channel. I would thinks is still under water. But I have been out in a couple months.

Yes. The old abandoned railroad is on the southern bank as you head out. And Big Bass Point on the north eastern shoreline. And yes, I'm familiar with the channel you're speaking of. I think I have my mental coordinates correct based on what you have typed. Definitely several tree tops barely under the surface in what use to be fairly open water as you would normally make the run towards Isle Du Bois or Indian Creek from Buck Creek ramp.
