Just curious if anyone has had much luck for crappie in walnut creek off of Joe pool this time of year. Looking to dust off the yak and I live close to the creek. Thanks for any reports guys.

I went last Saturday to test my new buster boat but only ended up with one. I'm still new to crappie fishing and don't know exactly what I'm doing so that made have also influenced it lol.

Cool. Was the water deep enough at the mouth to get a boat in? It's only a 14ft glass magic. Old fiberglass boat.

I had a little plastic buster boat that we put in under 360. Didn't go all the way to the mouth so I couldn't tell ya.

Oh okay. I'm gonna try. There are some good deep holes near the mouth of the creek I hear.

Would like to try this place sometimes. Need to figure out how to access this place for some after work fishing. I think I drive by it everyday on 360 not sure though.

Yeah you probably do T-Slab. I just jump the curb on the northbound side of 360 and follow the car tracks down to the creek. The creek is pretty shallow under the bridges, not much deeper than 3 feet. I took my boat towards the lake from 360 and the first hard bend dropped from about 5 feet to 16 feet. There is a ton of limbs floating in the creek so it was hard to make out quite what I was seeing on my sidescan unit.

Is it "legal" to park at the 360 bridge? I just don't want to get towed.
Not even sure if it's an option for me as I trailer my yak. Might just suck it up and pay the $10 at Loyd. That is if I can ever get out for more than 2 hours at a time...
