Hello guys I am new to the crappie fishing section but normally post in the catfish section. I just started crappie fishing and have not had any luck. I have read that maybe they are deep right now because of the temperature and some folks find them in creeks. Would any of you guys be willing to share a location or two so i can actually get something to bite? LOL! I do not want your honey hole I just need to be pointed in the right direction to get some action. I am in Desoto so Joe Pool is close to me and maybe Waxahachie or Bardwell. Anyways Thanks in advanced guys......tight lines.

Try Walnut Creek at Joe Pool lake. Access it in Loyd Park that has a fee or Hwy 360. Mountain Creek /Soap creek. Access them off of FM661 or next month from Britton Park when the gates are opened. No fee. Right now Mountain Creek @ fm661 is good for Crappie walking the banks with a loooooooooooooong Rod and Jigs near stick up, laydowns & tree root systems. my last visit I noticed sand bass wakes so I think they are starting their rituals also 2cents

Milton, I am not in your area, but if you can find a crappie barge to visit go there. There is always people who will talk and tell you all of the good places to go.
