How do you fix a trolling moter like if you pug it in it won't stop runing you don't Evan have to push the foot switch I have to unplug it to make it stop

What brand Trolling Motor? I don't know about Minnkota, but if it is a Motorguide check and make sure that your switch is not turned on to continuous.

It won't stop runing at all and the switch is off May have to go buy a new one

take it to Greg at Lakeside Trolling Motors on FM 515 east of the lake Fork bridge. 903-383-3232 He will figure out your problem. You can call him for direction and times but he is going to want to see it.

Your wires below the button have melted and are touching. Try taking the pedal apart and looking at the wires. If that's the case you can order those parts for less than $10.
