I live close to tyler and me and my buddy wanna make a fishing trip sunday to a lake weve never been on thats somewhat close. i was just wondering if yall had an opinion of any lakes that are fishing really good right now?

I have no idea which lakes are fishing well in that area, but my instinct would be to head south to Lake Nacogdoches

If I was a young buck with gas in the tank and my boat in tow, I'd probably head to Welsh or Martin Creek for the sole reason that the water is warmer and the fish will be more active.

Just know that many other anglers in East Texas are doing the same so you are going to fight the crowd.

That honey hole episode on Pines sure looked fun! I love Lake O' the Pines, that's where I learned to fish. Haven't been back in forever though...

If you go to martin creek this weekend don't carry your boat you will be able to just step from boat to boat. I think there is five tourneys on it tommorrow

Tyler and Palestine are good cold water lakes. Hawkins and Holbrook are too.
