How exactly you use Navionics? I looked at the web app and all it really shows is the depth. ALso, is it showing current depths or it is based on when the lakes are at full level?

Honestly, on Granger, the drop off are to far away from the bank. Navionics will not help there if you fish from the bank. What will help you on Granger is paying attention to the wind direction, the time of year and water temp. Apps will not make you a better fisherman, learning the conditions will. Fish have tails, they will move to weather, barometric and by bait. Granger your better off with a good weather app and that's for guys with a boat. Small lake big waves. Apps also do not tell you how bad that lake is silt in, how much junk has washed in. Saw a guy run his boat up the river channel wide open, we pulled his boat back to the ramp, he did not see that log just under the surface. Lot of trees have broken off just under the surface. Just waiting for that lower unit.

Knowing the contour of a lake will help you determine where to start your fishing in junction with the environmental conditions. Fish the wind blown side of the lake where the channel comes in close to the bank is a good example of using both together.
