Chasing Hogs pic is almost as ugly as him. Good thing he sells beer or he wouldn't have any friends.

When fishing on squaw creek on a sunny day what colors are best? Also whats the main bait fish out there? What are the bass eating? "Prey species: Threadfin shad were collected by electrofisher at 5/h and gizzard shad, although observed, were not collected in 2010 (Appendix A). Historical averages for these species are low in Squaw Creek (Appendix B). The 1997 Index of vulnerability (IOV) for gizzard shad was poor and only 12% were available to existing predators as forage (Figure 2). Bluegill (2/h) and longear sunfish (2/h) were also collected (Figure 3)." I didn't get to prefish it either, but I am proactive enough to at least pull up TPWD reports for the lakes I'm fishing, they have some pretty neat info in them. Fun fact about squaw, the water is so conductive they have a hard time electrofishing there at all, and it has gone up a ton each year too, and states they wil be adding another reactor which will increase it further... means nothing to me but interesting anyways. They are supposed to start gill netting in winter, wonder if that is why 2014 survey hasn't been released yet, if they JUST did it.

You can tell he's on Squaw with that screen shot-just look at the water spots! Squaw and Texoma have to be the worst two lakes for water spots-it gets on everything-rods, reels, glasses, graphs, cowling, hard baits, etc.

Heck, TPWD can barely even electrofish 5/hr bass OR shad... obviously it's a terrible place to go fish.

I have been fishing out there about 12 times the last month or so. I only bank fish out there not tournament fishing or anything.. I was just curious if there was a particular lure thats working better than others.. Im pretty new to bass fishing. My first day out there i caught 16 bass and that pretty much got me addicted to it and i found this forum lol. Y'all are pretty helpful. I have not had another day like the first day though. I usually only catch about 1-3 big ones. Id say 40 fish total and they have ALL been on a texas rigged worm. Im wanting to try different lures to mix it up and I'm trying to pin point a few good ones. Ive used spinners, crank baits, and jigs with a trailer and i haven't caught a thing on any of those. I like worm fishing but I'm trying to shake things up. I read a 22 page report on a squaw creek survey but the numbers for bait fish were so low it had me wondering what in the heck the bass were actually eating. Ive watched videos on KVD and Gene Jensen with Bassresource.com. I feel like I'm fishing all of the lures the correct way but I'm not seeing any results except for the TR worm.
