Paul Lebowitz, the editor of Kayak Fish magazine, received news that his son James suffered an inoperable brain aneurysm last night. Apparently the doctors are saying theres nothing that can be done. Please keep this brother of our community and his family in your prayers as they go through this impossible time.

Some of us who are heavily involved in the industry have gotten together and are planning something to do for him on Facebook. We want to be respectful and not overwhelm his family, so we're thinking about some sort of online event where we maybe all go fish and take a photo with a print-out or something honoring and remembering his son. We've also thrown around ideas like me producing a video with short video footage people take of themselves with a quick sentence or phrase supporting them.
I'll keep you guys in the loop of what we decide and let me know if anyone else has a good idea, too.

I can't even imagine what they're going through. Continued prayers for the family. I'll be hugging my kids a little longer tonight.
