Moved my motor up about a 1/2 inch, the boat seems to plane off with much less bow rise, but the top speed has dropped off significantly. Its never been a fast boat by any means and that doesn't matter much to me, but now at 5200 rpms I'm only getting about 53mph were before I was going about 58. My motor seems to be running well and I haven't added any additional weight. What gives?

Hey Mesquite Mark. thanks for the call the other day. I moved my motor back down, slightly, and that improved my top end speed quite a bit (back up to 62mph at 5400 rpm) while my boat is still getting a good hole shot with very little bow rise. I believe my next move will be to try the 24 pitch prop. I will look into the 4 blade prop as well.
