It was a cold start on palestine yesterday morning but we'll worth the trip. My brother in law and I are by far what you would call pro crappie fishermen but after many trips this year we finally managed to catch both of our limits. For me personally it was a great day because I actully caught all of mine with a jig. Everytime we go out I always try the jigs first but usally always go back with the minnows because I can't seem to make it work. Afterwards we had a chance to meet up with Pepops and get some of his famous and very nice looking jigs and I can not wait to get a chance to go back and give them a try. As for our trip the color choice of the day for me was the black/chartreuse and blue/white/chartreuse, minows still did very well also for my brother in law. Thanks again Pepop's for the jigs!

It was great meeting the 2 of you yesterday & again I'm just sorry I didn't get those jigs to you before your trip but it sure sounded like what you had worked for you quite nicely. Now that you've caught a limit and done so exclusively on jigs, like we talked about, the next big thing is to catch a mess on a jig you tied yourself. Hope the jigs work well for you & I can't wait to hear reports of many more slabs put in the boat.

Both of the colors you used are excellent jig colors for winter time fishing!
Pepop sure ties some purdy jigs!

Pepops I'll have to figure out these jigs a little better before I start making some. For now I'll have to leave it to the experts! Thanks Jason, I have noticed in seveal of your post that you do very well with them.
