I have the excursion 5 inflatable boat. What is a good lake near Richardson TX to use it without worrying too much about underwater objects deflating it?

How are those without a motor? We only use the paddles.

Not good if it's windy, unless you can find a very, very protected cove.

I'd launch it at Breckenridge Park off of Brand(if there aren't any signs prohibiting vessels on water) There is a pond there at the bottom of two hills--protected from the wind.

Pond that small I might as well bank fish, but I will think about it. A portion of the boat purchase was its promise for exercise in rowing.

Westlake Park at Lewisville Lake, The cove west of the boat ramp. You can also go to the south side of the old dam, and put in. Very protected from the wind, catfish and sandbass, have seen crappie pulled from standing timber.

On a calm day , launch it at white rock lake. Any wind over 10mph is amplified on that lake.

White Rock would be good, like mentioned before make sure its a CALM day.
You will get blown around a good deal with any wind.
Good luck let us know how you do!

Good luck let us know how you do! I have a feeling my next boat trip will be in October when it gets below 80. But I may take a bank trip out there in the next week or two. Apparently I am part bass, I get sluggish in the hot weather.

South Lake in Farmersville would be perfect for paddling that worry free and having a great time. Bit of a drive but so worth it for catching tons of fish. Definitely quantity over quality there

I would suggest cotton wood marina in little elm, if it is close. I've had good luck near the marina. If its windy you can hide in the wake of the marina
