As stated, buying a new PA this coming week from ACK, leaning towards yellow just for visibility but like the light beige as well.

Any durability issues with one color vs another?

Thanks!

I think it's a general consensus that the Dune (beige) color probably hides scratches the best of the 3 colors but as far as durability, I wouldn't think there is any difference. I am partial to the papaya for the visibility and it's fun to say papaya.

Haven't heard of any durability issues related to color

Unless you're storing it outside in the sun, I'd be shocked to hear of any durability issues at all...

I've got the yellow one (because I got a great deal on a demo model) but really like the beige one too. I think the visibility is pretty good with either one.

Enjoy your new boat!

Craig

Unless you live in Austin or close to one of their other stores, you would be wise to check with Mariner Sails before helping out Austin's economy. Mariner has all colors are in stock and you don't have to pay freight charges ($259.00 per Hobie) as well as risk damage from a LTL truck shipment. It only makes sense.

Call the store on Monday (972/241-1498) for other details and customer benefits!

I have owned most of the Hobie colors at one time or another and personally like the looks of the ivory dune best.

If you are going to shoot videos, any of the brighter colors is better on screen.
If you are fishing at night, the Papaya is by far the most visible. If you are on very clear water fishing where your motion might be picked up by sight then ivory dune or olive reflect less light. I have the last two colors right now and will be upgrading to 2015's shortly and will probably go back to Papaya this year.

You shouldn't have durability issues with any of the colors.

Tight lines, Phill
