Chine walking has many components. Do a Google search on chine walking bass boats. You should get a link to bass boat central. Read this and it will help.

chine walking is caused by several things.

not enough seat time (most common)
engine too low
wrong prop
not enough setback on jack plate
weight in boat not distributed evenly

Hardest lesson to learn?
It's not a car and you're not on a road.

The walk is caused by the prop trying to twist everything right and your hull trying to stay straight. Twenty minutes of instruction can save months of frustration. Instead of advice ask for instruction it's very hard to explain feel on the internet.

My Stratos does the same thing at about the same speed, I trim down until the walk subsides and then slowly trim back up, I think it depends a lot of the lakes surface also.

Best thing is to take it to Steve and let him check your setup, most boats aren't setup properly ,ecspecially if it rigged from the factory, they always require a little tweaking

All boats do it at some point if they run.like my basscat starts at 72ish the real way to get threw it in the drivers seat and just figuring out on your own. Not saying that in a mean way just each boat is its own and everyone drives differently practice and more practice.and bass boat central has very good guidelines to start with you don't drive threw it u learn how to just drive it (tips and tricks) I believe is the spot on BBC.

Prop shaft to far below the pad. First step would be to get a measurement that is accurate and go from there. You have to know where you are starting to move forward.

Boat setup is the key in reducing or preventing chine walk. Every aspect must be optimized, prop, set back(distance and height),and balance of boat (left to right and front to back). Once those items have been accomplished, your learning curve to prevent chine walking will be much quicker and easier.

Take it to someone with their clue ticket punched. Setup is 20% driver is 80%. Until you understand what's really going on you will be blaming the boat for being ill mannered when it's just doing what it's supposed to.

I've taught hundreds of new boat owners how to drive its a twenty minute lesson but until you feel it and understand it's completely confusing.

Also a hook in the hull.

My Triton Tr19 chine walks pretty bad. I never had a boat fast enough to do it but when I bought it I knew Tritons did it. Nothing you read or someone tells you can really give you the confidence to drive through it other than seat time.. Spend the time behind the wheel, and you can drive through anything.. Best advice I can give you..
