first trip .....the creek bite went south for the winter it seems ,might be a migratory thing I suppose . maybe the fish will pick back up later ? I don't know if its the water temp or recent rain or a combination of factors such as the sandbass infiltration ....but I do know in one hour at lunch I got ONLY 2 bites !

I think it was a legal fish though and the little black crappie has apparently survived a cormorant strike a while back and will most likely never have shoulders .....

second trip .....lots of bites and little tiny white crappie . I never managed to get a fish to take a straight drop presentation last night . but for sure under a float "FIXED" float that is

....I managed a small fish dinkfest for a few hours last night . they were stacked up on top of a brushpile in about 11 foot of water and I never managed any legal fish

....but it was still fun none the less and I fine tuned the fine art of float ketchn once again . 5 foot deep and a 1/32 was getting bit a lot , I tried a few other spots and presentations and this was the only way I could ketch them last night .....

most of the fish negative bit with only a very few taking it under . the good new is the dropping water temps seem to be improving the dock ketchn . saw a few keepers on stringers but was told the bite pretty much quit right when we got there .....!!!
