That would depend on what price range you are talking about.

I would like to try a Power Tackle rod made for jigs and put a Lews BB1 Pro on it.

I currently have Shimano, Daiwa, Garcia, and Lews reels. Rods, I have Reel time rods, Shimano, Falcon, Dobyns, Duckett, Kistler, G Loomis and a Power Tackle crank bait rod.

If you want to know what my current favorite combo is, that would be a Dobyns Extreme 745 with a Shimano Core reel that I use for pitching jigs. My absolute favorite way to fish.

Steez on a Steez.

Also, something just cool about a Lews on a Falcon. Great match.

Veritas (first gen) Winch cranking rod + orra winch reel = butter. Such a slow ratio it's hard for me to use for anything but larger cranks that push big water, but man what a sweet rig!

A 7' 11" Veritas+ Revo BEAST would be awesome for punching and fishing A-rigs double duty. I don't do either really but would if I had that rig. I didn't used to crank nearly as much before setting up my dedicated cranking rig either.

I think with a Revo rocket I could make some of my baits do some neat tricks with an erratic retrieve a 9:1 ratio.. and I'd love a Villain rod but they don't have in stock anywhere for me to put hands on so I haven't pulled the trigger yet... more concerned with rounding out my arsenal more than buying the end all be all level rods and reels anyways quite honestly.

I am an Abu whore... I have only handled a few others and none have been as satisfying for me, so I don't veer from those save for one prototype reel that was a gift (and I don't like it near as much as my Abu's either lol)

My favorite is a Megabass Orochi XX Perfect Pitch with a Daiwa Tatula Type R 100XS reel.

My two favorites are the Revo mgx with arrius rod. Very light and used for finesse fishing. Second is a G Loomis 7'6 flipping stick with a flip n pitch real. I've slung a 10 lb fish in the boat with it.
