Looking to upgrade my 2D Lowrance and keep the total cost of unit and installation around $1000. Lowrance, Hummingbird or Garmin? Definitely want SI and DI this time.

The new Humminbird Helix 5 si is a great option. You can buy just about 2 of them for $1000.

I bought a 959ci DI for $875 for the TM. Should be pretty good for the front.
