Every time people talk about Welsh they say go north and find the grass. Found the fish up there, but it's also usually stocked up with a bunch of boats. Is there anything south worth trying out?

Absolutely. My best fish on Welsh was on the south end. There are several good places. You can flip the green reeds anywhere that you find them. There are some deep banks that hold fish. We catch C rig fish in several spots. You can always fish the water inlet for some smaller fish. A great little lake. Enjoy.

A week so ago someone posted a pretty good map of Welsh with some good areas mid and south lake marked.
If I did my cut and paste correctly below should be the link.
