Tired of 15 rods!!! A rod for every bait!!! Got to be a rod that can incorporate 3 or 4 different baits... Lookin for a rod that has a tip for spinnerbait, buzzbait, chatterbait, topwater, and larger crankbait but also has enough back bone for weightless senko or fluke to set hook. 8 rods on the deck has gotten old and I think I can change a lure just as fast as grabbing another rod out of the box.... Any suggestions????

if you have 15 rods I'd reckon you'd be able to find something in the lot you find useful for multiple rigs... have you ever tried any of them for other purposes? lol

... a 7' Medium-heavy, fast, or moderate fast action is a great general purpose rod... the fast is going to be more on the bottom fishing end of the spectrum, the moderate fast will be better for loading and chucking lighter crankbaits and such with. If I could only have 1 do it all rod, it's be one of those 2. Realistically, I could fish a 7f MH fast w/7:1 and a 7' 6" medium moderate w/5:1 and happily do everything I do, and just retie a lot, but really on pattern that's essentially as much as I need rod wise anyways... maybe 1 more rig. Basically like to have at minimum 1 moving bait, 1 bottom bait, and one subtle follow up bait. Best way I know to simplify it all.

I have lots of rods but I have two rods that I feel are "multi purpose" rods. Mid grade: Falcon Lowrider in the "Lizard Dragger" model. Higher end: Dobyns Champion series in the 734 model. Both these rods have been used by me for: T-rigs, C-rigs, jigs, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, crankbaits... They both do an awesome job for many things. The only thing I would feel they are not good for is really big/deep crankbaits, huge jigs and larger swimbaits but they would still work for these in a pinch.

361V care to divulge length, action, power for those rods for those of us not privy to such specific model names form those brands? I could search but figure most reading thread would end up having to search for same info if they wanted much value from your post other than those two specific rods. Thanks man, always love feedback form everyone on here!

I find myself using a PG-104 Power Tackle rod for several thingsTrig, Crig, jig, spinner baits, swim baits, spoons, lighter Arigs, larger top waters.

As a bank bass angler I don't want to carry lots of rods and tackle, so I try to keep things simple and light. For this reason, I use a Falcon Bucco Micro guide 7ft 2 in med/hvy (BMC 72MH) and it serves this purpose. I use this rod for weightless plastics, shallow cranks, topwaters, chatterbaits, and traps. For spinnerbaits, small jigs and t-rigged plastics I use a Falcon 7ft med/hvy Trap Caster. These 2 rods cover pretty much my fishing needs for a day. Now don't ask me why I have over 30 rods and so many reels I can't even think of all of them. Insane!!!

Not knowing your preference for a certain style of fishing,(what you fish the most),this list is basically based on my preference and experience. If I had to down size today this is what I would do, and yes I like Falcons alot.
Small SB-1/4oz
TW
Small CB
Weightless worms-Falcon LFC-5-167S 6'7" MH XF

Fluke
SB-1/2oz and up
Chatterbait
Jigging Spoon-LFC-5-168S 6'8" MH MF

Worm
jig
Frog
CR-LFC-6-1610S 6'10" H MF

Med CB-LFC-5-17 7' MH MF

Big CB-LFC-6-179 7'9" H M

Now to go one step further,if there was only one rod to have for everything, I would say
Falcon LFC-5-1610S 6'10" MH F
it might struggle on a few baits, but it would be great on others

hope this helps
