Does anyone know of a fly box that can hold lots of very large bass steamers but can still fit in a hip pack?

Don't know the exact specs but here's a link to the pack http://www.patagonia.com/us/product/stealth-hip-pack?p=48140-0

Don't know how large is large but I just bought these 2 boxes on Ebay a few days ago.

Patagonia says the pack is 10 x 7 x 6. I like the "Cliff's Bugger Barn." I just measured one of mine and it's 8.75 x 4.75 x 1.5, so you could conceivably carry three or four of them in the pack, depending on what else you put in it. I use them for everything from woolly buggers, to saltwater flies to salmon and steelhead patterns. They've worked well for me.

Allen Fly Fishing has some that are on sale now. The small one fits in my pack. Looks just like Cliff's but less costly.

I have 2 of these in a shoulder bag. (No it ain't a purse, lol) It'll hold flies up to about 6" long.

If you can't find a fly box that works, go to The Container Store and buy some clear plastic boxes with the correct dimensions -- you should be able to find pretty much any size(s) you want. Stop by Home Depot and buy a sheet of 1\2" foam insulation. Cut the foam to size and glue one sheet to the lid and the other to the bottom of the box, after cutting slits in it. For large flies you'll probably want 3/4" spacing between the slits, with the slits running side to side rather than up and down. Slip the hooks into the slits and yer done. If you use bendbacks, either put them in the foam with the hook points down, or keep them separate. I always stick myself grabbing the bendbacks.......

I have two Cliff's Bugger Boxes and can definitely recommend them. They are double-sided and have slotted foam that works very well. I got mine at the Plano store in north Dallas.
