Yes, I thought about that but my wife gets cranky if, so I think about fishing.

I've been thinking about adding something to my condo's for several years.Thinking how fish are attracted to weed beds and moss I tried to add bulk to the condo that they could get into.

These string banners may be the solution. It's a bit of work but what else do I have to do.
Using a table saw, carefully cut a slot thru one side of the PVC. Slide the tape inside the PVC letting the banner hang out the slot. Not much to get hung on. The plastic is lighter than water so it floats up when submerger (just like weed beds)
We will build several different models to test.



This is how the condo will look underwater. Fish can swim thru the banner just like weeds.

I built this test condo to hang under the deck at my dock. Only problem, I had to get a 4' condo thru a 12" hole in the deck. Solution was simple, make it fold up like an umbrella and open after getting thru the hole.

Will that material give way pretty easy without tearing off a bunch if you get a hook caught up in it? That would be my only concern. Otherwise I like the idea of having a little movement in the structure. Makes it seem more 'natural'.

Now I'll prolly wake up at 3 in the am wonderin how I'm gonna get them slabs up thru that 12 inch hole....

In lake Perris in california they made reefs with old tires and recycled plastic streamers that floated just like that.they used it for the scuba diving area around the damn it was a no fishing zone but it held a lot of fish. Talked to the scuba divers and they said it was amazing amount of fish.the streamer were just like natural kelp beds.
