Like it says. Of money were not an issue, what would be your be all end all rod and reel combination. And what line?
Mine? I'll have it by tomorrow. Been a long time of saving, buying, selling, upgrading. Tomorrow morning I will have the Daiwa Steez SVF XBD rod to match my Steez reel. It will get spooled with Samari 55 lb braid. I will then proceed to the waters edge and backlash the hell out of it. Lol.

I would love to have a curado 200bsf converted to 7.1 gears and one of the kistler jig and brush buster rods from the first series of rods that were built.

Edge rods, either last years models or the new Black Widows. As for reels? Megabass FX73 SV.

Lews Tournament Pro Dobyns Champion Extreme Rods Really? I also bought, along with my "dream rod", a Lews Team Pro. Don't knowing about it other than I really liked it when I saw it. I have had a few other Lews reels. A Laser, a Tournement MG, and a Tournement Pro. I traded in the first two this morning. Kept the Tournement Pro as it's a left handed reel and I like to have it for when my rotator cuff acts up. I can switch reels and twitch and set with my right hand/shoulder. The one I bought today has 11+1 bearings, carbon handle, dual braking system and is, in comparison, LIGHTER than my Steez reels. All in all, it seems to be pretty close in tolerances to my Steez reels. Maybe just a tad less "mechanical" feeling. If that makes sense. Overall, having only mounted it to my new Falcon Cara T7 Micro and spooled it with flourocarbon, it seems like it's a 9 outta 10. If I didn't freeze all weekend fishing I would have ran to the waters edge and tried it. But that's for later this week.
