Tried Stillhouse today for some gills and didn't even get a nibble...Anyone having better luck on either lake? Thanks in advance.

it seems that the Buegill/Sunfish bite has slowed down state wide. peep We were nailing some big ones and lot of em all throughout the early to mid fall. thumb Now they are pretty hard to find. hide2 Still catching a few in deeper water hanging around brush piles in 12 to 16 feet of water. hmmm Slower and patients are usually the two rules for winter Bluegill/Sunfish. eeks

Good luck. cheers Also try to take advantage of any future warm spells. hmmm Some times the Gills will get a little more active. Just my two cents. 2cents

Never fished the Central Texas area before. I have heard that both lakes were fairly good bass lakes. Judging by the recent post it seems that the Gills are becoming harder to find.

Yea it's either the Dallas,Houston,or San Antonio areas that get most of the coverage here. Anyway good luck on finding some nice Gills. I don't fish for em but it seems that they get pretty active during the spring and summer.
