Anyone else have problems with your boat alarm draining your main battery between uses?

Not a problem, I used to leave my charger plugged in 24/7 so the security alarm simply cycles the charger in and out of Float every few minutes. I figured about 150,000 times each year. No harm to the charger or batteries.....they last years.

Tell your wife you need to go fishing more often so your batteries stay charged and this won't happen (thats if your married) LOL It will drain your battery if it is not plugged into a maintainer, (over a few week period) if you don't want to to keep your charger plugged in buy a cheap maintainer and hook it just to the cranking battery . The maintainer chargers less than 2 amps and goes to a trick charge when fully charged All this if you have electric in your storage area
