Thought this was pretty cool to watch, cause it's a cold, windy, rainy day. Everybody's hanging out under the log. Makes a pretty solid case for weedless Jigheads too. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=a-A76iZBtB0

You know, I have been looking out the window all day, trying to will myself to get out there and get a line wet. Then I walk outside, cringe in the cold, wind and rain, and grudgingly go back inside. I've done this a couple of times today, hoping the weather would improve. Crappie videos will have to do for today. Maybe i'll get out tomorrow. Scott in Flower Mound

I live here on Palestine and want to be on the lake. Today at daybreak we had fog, the wind came and it looked real good and calm, but the temp was low and cold. A short time later I saw white caps....so put another log on the fire and tied some more jigs. Spring is not too far away.
Using the site for a while...this is really great to share fishing ideas and success with others.

nice video and it seems from the look of things that's a really fresh tree in the water some places are just beginning algae growth bet its a lively place to drop a jig for sure

Looks like the winds are low today, so I may have to check out the WRC winter run everybody is talking about. Never been there, but sure sounds promising for a bank fishermen like me. Nice video but I see crappie all the time in the clear PK water. When I launch at Bluff Creek, I normally see crappie under the docks along with lots of big bluegills. I've watched them many times race over to a jig I dropped in among them only to reject it at the last second.
Clear water crappie fishing is very tough. Minnows on light fluorocarbon line work but I've had little luck with stationary jigs. Trolling chartreuse lures has produced, as they can't get a good look at the bait.
I'm sure some of the experts here could catch them, but I can't.
