Went yesterday and caught 7 including a chunky 5 1/2 (they were all pretty fat). Used a t-rigged wacky worm shallow early, then all on Carolina rigged fries deep later. Wind made it tough but had fun!

I've always fished spinners and texas rigged worms for bass. I got these two live target lures for christmas in my stocking from my in-laws.
a pumpkin seed crankbait and a frog popper.
Would i have any luck with the frog popper on squaw creek? Its a top water and there are no lilly pads out there..the water is warm and there is timber though...
The pumpkin seed crank bait was $14.00 ( i found it online) I do not want to lose this lure like i lost my last two crank baits.. I cast them out and they swim around erratic as [censored] and get hung up after a few cast. Is there a certain way to fish them?
