First Merry Christmas! Well that was the plan until I saw the updated weather forecast. Yesterday the foreguess was windy out of the west so I thought OK Colin Park on the west side and I could fish trees just off the west bank. Now it says 20 mph with 30 mph gusts out of the south. Nowhere to hide if that�s the case. Maybe East Fork? Maybe bankin over at Ticky Creek? But then the Corps has this on the website; �Ticky Creek Park is closed for the winter season. Boat ramp is closed. Boat ramp parking lot open�. So does that mean I can sit in the parking lot and not fish? Or can I access the southernmost point and bank there? I really need to get out. If anyone has an idea I am all ears.

I live really close by there, Its the same for Clear lake and Mallard park. Ramps are closed of course but you can drive in, park, cart down and launch or just fish from the bank. No one will tell you to leave if you park and bank fish at Tickey Creek park. I went to Mallard park about a month ago, drug my kayak through the knee deep mud and paddled to to the railroad tracks. No one will stop you.
