Hey folx, We are going to texoma in morning for an overnight trip. We will be targeting striper or blues from bank with surf rods. Does anyone have a suggestion on area to fish with primitive camping with decent chance at target fish? any help would be great, thanx...

Juniper point park on 377 has what you're looking for. Also try texoma state park on hwy 70. Decent fishing and primitive camps. Thats the only two places that I know of. Also try willow springs?????? Don't know if fishing turned on there or not, but seems that fish are getting more and more shallow in the daytime/evening time pushing bait against the shore.
I don't really know what to type here.

Outtabeer go across the Willis (377) bridge and when you are on the bridge look to your left (west) and on the Oklahoma side there is a sandy beach. This area is called Fobbs Bottom. After you get across the bridge you will find a road to the left and it will take you to the Fobbs Bottom Area. This time of year you should have absolutely no problem finding a spot. This is a great area to not only fish but camp. I take the boat up there and camp that cove this time of year when the stripers are running up the river and are more out west. We have had some luck with catfish on jugs there too. It is a great place to fish from the bank because it is in casting distance to good water near the river bed.
Tell us how you do!
I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

They have a East and West side at Juniper. Try Ike's Park

XYZ, is that ramp at Juniper fairly well sheltered from the wind or off the main lake? Looking at the map it is as you say, east and west both appear to have ramps.
thanks for any advise

Mark is right Fobbs Bottom is a good place to go this time of year and would be your best shot for bank fishing for stripers and blues.

Yes they both do have ramps but the east one was closed last I went. It is a good ramp and well sheltered a bit steep and eclctic parking. Oh also did I mention Jason only pays 1.50 since he is a veteran...LOL
Chs will you be out in the morning?

i think fobbs bottom would be a better bet now than burns flats by the dam. That is more of a spring or early summer spot.
Look for XYZ in the cape!
