This post is for the two men I met on Lake Fork today. Steve #1 in the Bass Cat and Steve #2 in the Nitro. Thanks guys for helping me out today on Lake Fork. I was crappie fishing and had a few in the livewell and I had EVERYTHING running! Live well pumps, recirculating pumps, oxygenator, HDS Gen 2 touch 12 & 9 and the Bluetooth was playing the Temptations. This went on for about 4 hours and I hit the switch to start up and come home. No dice! After 3 fishing trips, I guess I should have charged the battery. OOPS! Steve #1 stayed with me and Steve #2 came to the rescue with the jumper cables. Thanks Guys for actually hooking a Brother Up and may God bless your family and have a great Christmas!

This is why I always place a Jump Station on the boat when I get into it. It insures I have starting power if my starting battery dies. Which it did, one month after I bought the boat last year. Brand new battery, cell died with only 10 hours on the battery. They gave me a new one but I was glad I had that Jump Station with me, as there weren't any other boats near me when it happened. I keep it in the SUV when not in the boat. Best $79 I have spent.

Just some jumper cables are all you need if you have a trolling motor too.

Just some jumper cables are all you need if you have a trolling motor too. Since I am also a belt and suspender person I have jumper cables that never leave the boat. But I run my two trolling batteries down more often than I do my starting battery as I spent most of my time on the lake trolling. And never listen to music while I am on the lake.

Really good stuff people on the water for the most part are truly a different breed, you gotta love it!
