Good Luck Fisherman13, going to miss the stocking on Friday but do wish those able to make it to Bethany the best of luck! Not sure how the rain will impact things... for the Field Team, we have been working on a partner website that may be of interest to Readers... this one is called Stocker Trout Fishing. Good Luck and Good Fishing!

Looks like they took the rain out of the forecast We need the rain but I want to go try for a trout in decent weather. I will take some pics. even if I get skunked, but hoping that won't happen, cause I got a secret weapon this time....

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12768829/Bethany%20Stocking600.mp4 60mb video (sorry about the scratchy audio. i compressed this from a 450mb file) They dropped them in a few minutes after 10 Saw one caught in the first 10 minutes and then i left.... i wasnt fishing, just wanted to see them stocked. now, in some of the years past they wouldnt bite right after they got dropped. but based on their activity at the surface and seeing one caught, i bet a limit would be easy right now. they stocked in the large part of the pond on the north side this time(you will see the tire tracks). 1st time they did that as far as i know. they usually drop them in the back end (south side) of the pond

Well a limit was had, but it wasn't that quick or easy! Only would hit 1 color, and could only get them to hit after seeing them bubble the surface. Threw 5-6 small ones back before realizing the bigguns either aren't biting or weren't there. Almost shoulder to shoulder now so the fish will see it all I'm sure! Good luck to all
There are no fish in sonic pond EDIT: Except 1 20lb catfish

Stopped by Bethany for a little while today. There were about 30 people fishing, no one caught anything, except one guy who caught like 20 fish in the one hour I was there. He was using spinning gear to fish an elk hair caddis fly under a Bubble bobber. the fish didn't want the silver and gold super duper I threw at them.

When they first put them in yesterday they were biting crazy. We were fishing for bass waiting for them to stock and my buddy Rob had one hit a big shallow crank bait, we were laughing so hard, hell I was in tears we didn't even know they had been stocked yet. Then we switched to our light line setups and started throwing rooster tails. Rob caught another one on a 1/16 rooster tail shortly after that. I had two hook ups on rooster tails but lost both fish. We saw several others catching them on lures that looked like inline spinners. But the fish turned off after about 2 hours or so and it seemed like no one was catching anything. The fish seemed to prefer hot colors at first but they were following some of our swim baits we were using for bass which was strange probably just curiousity. Good fun and I must say I was impressed how well the 2nd one I hooked fought, up until I lost it anyways. I won't get to try again at Bethany but I will try at Murphy or maybe Towne Lake in Mckinney when they stock there. Here is a pic of the one Rob hooked on a crank bait
