Hey guys I'm a bank basser I mainly fish the creeks here in west fort worth and I can't find many tips on winter creek bass I've tried just about every idea I had and haven't had much luck I know that I should fish slow with small bait's. I also heard that the fish will bunch up in the cold. My question is if there is no real deep water were would I find them and any tips on plastics to throw at them would be appreciated? Thanks guys.

Shallow water fishing is really tough in the winter months. If your creeks feed into a lake then they have moved out to deep water. You will occasionally find small bass in the shallows that are left behind in the migration back to deep water.
Fish the deepest water the creek has to offer even if it does feed into a lake. Bass will move in and out at the mouth of these creeks on extremely warm days. Keep it simple with small inline spinners like the Mepps #2 silver blade and also the Black Fury on cloudy warm days. It has orange in it and has been very productive for me in ponds and creeks.
The fastest way to find out if they are there and just not taking artificial lures is to rig a split shot large Night Crawler. Just use the #1 straight shank hook with the barbs on the shank to keep the Night Crawler in place. The key is to be able to find the XL Night Crawlers this time of year in the local stores. Sometime even that is not possible.
Fish the Night Crawler rig as close to the heavy cover in the creek as possible. Bass will be hugging the hard woods looking for a little extra warmth from the wood. Also looking for the rocky banks will help in finding one or two hanging around. Fish it slow as you mentioned like a very light C-rig with the BB shot about 12 inches above the hook.
Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success. With this drought right now, you have very little running water around here in creeks. I use to fish some areas of the Trinity back in the early 80's when I was in high school and we were going thru a sever drought back then as well and had some success in the deeper holes, but mostly smaller fish. Bass in a creek and or a river are prone to live in areas where there is current with some sort of cover as in rocks or log jams or isolated timber, no matter how cold it is.
