Incredible time at the inaugural "BLT Striper Challenge" at Lake Texoma! Congratulations to the team of Captain Brad Alsabrook topping the field with two fat stripers weighing 30.14 pounds anchored by the overall biggest striper of the day at 15.03 pounds. The team of Captain David Escamilla finished second at a respectful 25.34 pounds.

Not sure I understand how two fish together weighed 30.14 and the biggest was 15.03.

I only have a masters degree in mathematics so any help would be appreciated.

I am still in elementary school when it comes to striper but I'm working toward a PhD.

Congrats to the winners!

The team weighed in wrong fish for the "big" fish, their other fish weighed 15.11. Which would have bad if by some chance another team weighed in like a 15.08 or close. Lol

Bankwalker,

Your math is correct. However, what Kerry said in the post above this one is correct. The anglers are asked to bring their biggest fish to the scales to be weighed before we weigh in the rest of their catch. If they pick the fish with less weight, then that is what is shown as their big fish. In this case, the two fish were very close in appearance and they selected the smaller of the two to be weighed in as their big fish.

We hope to see you at some of the tournaments. You do not have to have a PHD to join in the fun!!
