Believe it or not, the whites have already begun to show up on the Sabine. Mostly males caught today. Caught over 100.
It's only going to get better from here

Holy dingle berries!!! Is it real or am I dreaming? Where on the river were you catching? My best bud,Dock Boy,& I fished the run for the 1st time last year & needless to say,the wait for this run is painful. Not a day goes by we don't talk about our many, many days on the river. Some good & some so far better than good it's hard to put into words. We launched off 2517 just outside of Carthage. Any chance they're up that far?
I had to call in sick. My arm is in a cast!!!

I don't know much of that river except around Tawakoni and Fork, but isn't it a very long distance down the river below Tawakoni before you get to another lake, meaning that once the fish are below the dam, they tend to stay in the river, or are you talking about above a lake? Just wondering because I want to go learn the Sabine River more such as access points, where the water stays deep, etc.

We are south of Marshall. Ok that actually surprises me that you don't get white bass year round there since there's no lake that they can go to around there when it's not spawning season.

Most of the lakes that have SandBass will see the fish start going upriver as early as Thanksiving, if there is enough water and the conditions are right. Several river rats in East Texas will admit to having caught them in the Angelina river above Sam Rayburn in November lots of time, but not always. The area around Tram Road is always a good place to look.
