My brother and I fished with Billy on Sunday. It was the first time we had met Billy and found him to be a great guy. We spent the night in one of his rentals and I have to say it was the best room I have found in Zapata. Billy came over and we spent a couple of hours getting to know each other over a few drinks of Billy's finest bourbon. We started out fishing just after light. We fished rocky points all day. I had the two biggest fish of the day and my brother had the most. I never count so could not say exactly how many fish we had. I am sure Billy can tell that. The fishing was very tough and Billy worked hard all day to find us some big fish. My biggest was 6.21#. Most fish were in the 1 1/2 - 2# class. With that said my brother and I got to fish a lot of water we probably would have never fished if it were not for Billy showing us where it was. I really liked fishing with Billy because he will watch you fish then correct your technique if needed. He saw some of the bites even before we set the hook. I would place Billy up very high on the guide list and at the top of the list of guides I have fished with. Maybe because we seemed to hit it off and we had a great time all day if we were catching fish or not. There is no one I have met that is more committed to the veterans than Billy. He does everything he can to make us feel welcome, wanted and appreciated. Thanks Billy for your time and knowledge. Hope to do it again soon.

Glad you had a good time. Billy is the man! I got to spend some time on the water with him last week and I agree he is one of the best at what he does. Ask him about the whiskey we put away the night I was there!
Semper Fidelis Brother!
See you on the water.

Wendell, we put down a drink or two also. It was a blast sitting and BS'ing with Billy. Next time I am taking the steaks for the pit. We had ours at a restaurant. I can finally say I had a decent steak in Zapata. They are a little on the thin side but tender and cooked right. Try the Holiday restaurant on 83. Also did not have to wait 45 minutes for the food.
Semper FI !!

Billy is the hardest working and coolest guide on Falcon to hang with. Glad you had a great time...
