I moved to Hallettsville TX in August. I'm in the process of rigging up my boat just don't know what lake to go to. Any help would be appreciated.

Not too familiar with that area, but a quick Google map search doesn't show too many around there. Lake Texana is south of you and shows all species of catfish to be in there. https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/texana/
Or you can always just go chase the salty fish..

Buchanan, choke canyon, and granger. From what I hear the first 2 are better for big fish but I can personally speak that granger is great for big numbers of eater channels and blues.
