Is the suppose to be about head lights on while backing down the boat ramp? Never heard of it as lighting people up . Course I am getting a little long in the teeth.

Being spot lighted can be embarrassing. About 45 years ago a girl friend and I were on a blanket on the shore of LOP after dark doing what college kids do on a blanket after dark at the lake. All of a sudden we got hit by a spot light from a boat looking for the ramp. The first thing I heard was, "Bubba, they're (censored)." At a point in time when it's difficult to stop what we were doing, we stopped. The dang light stayed on us while we grabbed our stuff and made a bee line for the car. Being spotlighted in that situation is a great embarrassment. Cutting the date short was even worse.

Headlights on the ramp are a pain but remember that there are some trucks that they can't turn them off.

Headlights on the ramp are a pain but remember that there are some trucks that they can't turn them off. My truck is like that but, if I push down on the parking brake one click they go out.
I've never been good, But I've been Lucky! I don't Lie or Exaggerate, but sometimes I remember BIG!

I've had some harsh thoughts about headlights on folks when I'm backing down the ramp. Didn't know there were vehicles that couldn't turn them off. I wonder at the reason behind not being able to turn the headlights off.

Never any reason not to turn off lights on the ramp. Pet peeve. Even the Chevy's that wouldn't do the parking brake click deal could be turned off by pushing the interior light button next to the dial light switch a few times. Had one, I know. All I had to do was look in the owners manual to get the sequence.
