I did the same with my first ones .put them out and the lake dropped 2 ft. I am shure every boat on cedar creek has them marked now. now I build them first and cut them to 6to8feet.

Ha that's no good at all man. Sam Rayburn has been doing decent on the water holding lately. Hopefully it continues. This is the first time I have sank my own piles. Hopefully we have good results. The fish are doing decent right now. Any Lil lay down tree or stump is holding a few. Hopefully these stack em up.

How long does it usually take to see the fish showing up. I'm guessing not long cause the fish currently are showing up daily on structure

3 days to 2 weeks, if there are fish in the area, they will be stacked up in those brush piles.

Not as long as wood but it sure works the first and second years. I feel like they get mooshy after that and fall apart and get black soot which is decaying not growing algae. Bamboo has its advantages and disadvantages. Easy to work with and stands vertical but rots quicker and is more work in the long run. All of my boo I put out 3yrs ago is not there anymore but my oak piles are still going strong.

Thanks for the info. I didn't figure it would out last wood either...but man it sure is easy and quick. I mainly am doing cause the fish are in the area and structure is sparse...

Those will work! But for a little more effort, you could put something together that would last longer, that's why I used PVC. It'll last for ever, unable to see on sidescan & light weight. Mine are now holding fish.

My question has always been , If the fish are holding around the bucket , how do you present a bait ? Most of my fish come just off bottom , rarely do I find them holding in the tops. Educate me , Please. Mo
