A slow day on Lake Bastrop with a few nice largemouth and some lost fish of course !!! then early afternoon this surprise an 8.5 lb carp that gave a 10 minute fight on my six weight and towed the kayak some 50 yards I need to carry a net as the most difficult part was bringing the fish into the boat  Any way it made my day Mike

Nice fish Mike! I've had them turn my Jon boat around but I bet not like you had in the yak.

Good looking fish! I miss summer fishing at Ray Roberts really bad... 3-4 more months I know what you mean Ben! I've been sitting up late in my office looking at pictures from last summer at Roberts and remembering the heat, the smell of the water, the feel of the push pole in my hands, the sting of sunscreen in my eyes and the sight of a carp, tailing on the flat. I love it! Can't get here soon enough
