Gonna share secret with you. Deep water fishin at Fayette. A steep drop from 17 to 23 ft with bait, fish n Current. Ive been killin it with a flutterspoon n c rig doin this.

what you may/may not know, is that the "current" you're seeing, is just at the water's surface. There's likely no difference in water movement where the fish are. That being said, the subtle drop off is the key. Fayette is so highly pressured that fish stack up in more subtle places than you typically see on a lake which isn't as heavily fished. Having guided there for many years, I still can go to spots like the one you show and not have to move for much of the day and catch 50 plus fish.

There is no other way to fish fayette in my opinion. Stay deep or just sTay home to me. More numbers and size.

well, the not so subtle drop off IS KEY. Its what creates the eddy. U better rethink the current thing...it was a COMBINATION of factors that lead to my bite, not just one or two things, with all respect sir.
