2 boats launched at Falcon Lake State park today. I caught an 9.1. I will still put Falcon against any lake in Texas:) I did have to sit on a spot for an hour and a half to get her, but I knew she was there. I am not sure what the guy in the 17 foot aluminum boat caught. But at State park at least 50% of the people launching caught a 8+. Fishing the next three days hope I can put some clients on those type of fish.

have you ever walked into any of the big marinas at Lake Fork and looked at the bass survey? On any given day year round there are many 8's,9's,10's caught. Add up all those surveys and you will see which lake is the overall leader.
and many of them are in the slot so you have to go by the scale in the boat.
The guys I hang out with never bother. One guy had a 13.6 last year and released it after pictures.

Fishing the next three days hope I can put some clients on those type of fish. ALL tournament results in past 2 years certainly don't indicate that, often just hard to get a limit of 2-3 pounders. I hope lately things are better and improving though, I would love for it to reach even 75% of the heyday.

Where are these bass surveys? some Fork association or club has paper surveys at all the Fork marinas. voluntarily just fill out any 7+ pounders you catch. I don't give them too much value as many don't submit and the weights are just as good as a persons or guides scales. Often they are just estimated weights (which you indicate). The value they do add is you can see trends, sometimes the sheets go a week without any submissions and there are times you might get 20 a day at each marina.

I think if we are talking today, it's hard to put TB over Fork when the Elites were just at TB and then many of the same guys went over to Fork and got freak show results. When Keith was catching those fish on Fork, it was nothing short of spectacular.

I have a house on Rayburn and fish it regularly but I did go to Fork around June 1 for a day and a half. Had 2 over 8 (Biggest 2 of the year for me). One each day! Hadn't been there in about 10 years either. There are a few lakes That I travel to each year for a day or two and usually the biggest fish of the year will come on those trips. Rayburn is good to me for fish up to 6 but it takes about every 4 to 5 years to get one over 8 for me.
