Having to start over on my rods and reels so I'm looking to go with a bit better quality this time. For you guys that use the savvy rods how do you like them?

I have 2 Savvy rods and i really like them. Both are heavy jig rods i use for flipping and dragging jigs. I also have a the 805cb champion line rod and its the best Crank bait rod i have ever owned. Very happy with them

I have a Savvy 704, a Champion 703 and a Champ Extreme 745.

Savvy is great for moving baits or anything where sensitivity isn't a huge premium. They're sensitive, but not nearly as sensitive as the Champion line. For senkos, T-rigs, C-Rigs, jigs, etc. where sensitivity is very important, go to the Champion or Champ Extreme line. I went with a Champ for senkos and light T-rigs (703) and went to the Champ Extreme for my jig rod, and I think that's the most cost-effective way to cover all your bases. Jig bites can tend to be the lightest (and often the biggest fish), so I wanted to have the best rod for that technique. Also, I fish jigs a lot. It's a rare day if I go to the lake without one tied on. So that played a role in it too.

Yes, I am on the Dobyn's team but I owned some Savvy's long before that. They are great rods and have a lot of options for length, power and action. I throw a split shot in HEAVY cover on Monticello this time of year and the only rod I use for it is my Savvy 735. I've pulled countless 5+ pound fish out of the thickest stuff you can imagine out there using that rod. Of the rods I own, probably 30% are Savvy, 50% Champion and 10% Extreme

If you ever have a question about any of their rods, just call them. They give you no bs, talk to you for however long you need, and will answer any question you have. I have upgraded all my rods to Champions or Extremes. I have a savvy rod I used for t-rigs, but the sensitivity wasn't even close to the other lines, so I now use it for buzz baits.

This is right on the money. I use a Savvy 735 for small swim baits, chatter baits, and swim jigs. I have a 705 Champion for my Tx.rig rod and I also use it for pitching a 3/8 jig under docks (well when docks on Fork have water under them). I have an Extreme 703 for a shaky head and finesse jig, a 744 for flukes, three 745's for jigs and Tx. rigged craw tubes, and a couple of 784 Extremes for my C-rig's.

Champions would be better choice. I have a few Savvy they are good but all around the Champion is hard to beat.

Have several Champions(and like them all) but my favorite is a Savvy 703 micro guide. I can't tell you how many fish I've caught with a split shot rig on my micro. Great rods.

You are welcome. They have the best military discount that I am aware of. Enjoy!
