Had some good trips on Palestine fishing the bridge last week, then Mon. & Tues. this week. Wife & I caught 22 last Thurs. no throw backs and 3 over 15" most between 11 & 12 inches caught on Bobby Garland blue & white with no color jig heads, out about 3 1/2 hours. Friday had 31 all keepers nothing big. We let the weekenders have it on the weekend. Monday we had 28 in about 3 hrs. and Tues. had our limit, all keepers. I am no crappie fisherman at all, I mostly bass fish but reading the forum and looking at the pics got me fired up & wife loves to fish so we had the time and luck was on our side. I did pick up some tips from you Palestine regular posters & met a guy from Corsicana at the ramp by the dam on Tues. and he gave some good hints. I am back at work now and will be back on the lake when I work off on Christmas Eve. Well after the holidays any way. Palestine is fishing good right now when a novice like myself can catch them.

Good job man, glad to hear you caught them good. The fishing has been great the past month. Fished this morning before the rain an it was a little slow. Managed 24 keepers.

Thanks for the great report. Good job getting on em. Sounds like you all had a good time. I've been fishing the upper end some this week but just not catchin nearly those numbers. However the few black crappie I've caught under the 315 flat creek bridge were mostly solid 14"ers.

Hey Buda, we fished on the Tyler end of the bridge never got a line out before 10:00 am, they were biting at 14' - 16' till about 1:00 pm then dropped down from 16' -18' middle 3 columns water depth around 21 -24' Monday black & chart. slab bandits and black with silver glitter Bobby Garland. We just went from column to column till we found them. Several people we saw were catching good and some not so good, I guess they don't read the forum. Good Luck too you Buda. Thanks for the compliment Jason been following your post for a while. I thing we may have seen you at Pal. Resort last week we put in there one day and I think you were at the cleaning table when we came in. I was loading a Skeeter wrapped with Defiance Energy Logo.

Great trip with Jason today! He tried lots of options to get us on fish. The weather did not help, but we had fun. All of us caught fish. Thanks Jason...we will find better weather next time!!!

Hey Jason and Roy, did the rain change the pattern? I've been off the water last couple of days raking leaves and pine needles.

The fish bit quite a bit slower. I left my best spot to early and started looking around. I think we could have caught a limit had I not gotten impatient. Still catching most about 15' down on pepops jigs. Hollar at ms and we will go try them.

Jerry,I think the weather made a difference. The rain seemed to slow activity. When I arrived Home the lake was calm and no rain. Ready to go again, but was still wet. Another day.
