Does the 332c or the 25c have some sort of alarm indicating that you are exactly on the entered waypoint?

I know they have an arrival alarm, but that's usually 25ft or 100 ft from the target. Is there a way that when my puck is directly on the exact wypt, the unit will tell me?

I agree that 2 pucks are better, for one other reason not mentioned. You many times want the sensitivity, chart speed etc different on the trolling motor vs the console unit. Not sure how that would work, but something to ask Lowrance.

The puck is not going to have any bearing on chart speed or sensitivity. Now I have a question for Jay or anyone else that can answer it. You have your puck mounted on the console, you have you transducer on your transom or thru hull in back of boat 8' to 10' behind your console. Depending on which puck 50/90/200kz you are in 30' of water so the leading edge of your graph is actually showing 10' in front of where your transducer is located because of cone angle, so you are basically right on top of your GPS coordinates right or wrong?

Guys,
I think we're getting a little anal about the GPS cooridinate. Its will not be spot on. It will probably get you within a couple of yard range. My hand held will tell you that you are within several ft. The sonar on the finder will get you where you want to go and only if you have it in the perfect position or now eactly where your limits are and at what depth. The cone will be different at 10' and 30'.

The puck has no bearing on how the two units operate, scrool speed, sensitivity ,etc.

the GPS puts you in the general vicinity, its up to you to find the fish.

Mrppl2 you are exactly right that they will not be right on, that all depends on your rate of error on your unit. My point is that if you are running in 30' of water and hit quick save for a waypoint the waypoint is going to be the leading edge of what your sonar is reading so therefore it is not going to be off 8' behind you just because your transducer is mounted 8' behind your puck, because of the cone angle. Also you are right about the cone angle being different also. That depends on your transducer kz but I know that with a 90kz in 30' of water you will have 1/3 of that showing as the bottom surface on your sonar or 10'. I'm sorry if my previous post sounded anal it was not meant to be. (It was meant just as a question for clarification, as this is what I was told 10 years ago about my LMS350 by my Lowrance rep. back then Rick Scott.)

I was told this by wilson frasier while the shootout was in town...DON'T DO IT. think about it, wherever the antenna is located, that is where you will be marking things with it. what I would like to do when I can afford it, is get the 334c and mount it up front that way I have no other antenna to worry about, it is all internal. why worry about the + or - of feet just get a different unit.

just my thoughts.

Rocky, thank you for the additional contact. Also, if you r going to the show at Arlington CC in January you can meet Brad there he will be working the Lowrance booth and can show people how to mark using graph memory and the cursor....and he said we might be able to know more about updates by then.
