Some good suggestions.
The owner of my marina will not put up with loud partying which is a good thing. After I get to know him a little better I will approach him about some of your ideas. Meanwhile if i can't find any fish under my dock I can always find them on the lake.
It is still better than the boathouse that I owned at Fork that had no water about half the time I owned it.

This way you are not putting brush in the slip but using something you can retrieve. Since the chains are suspended you have nothing touching the bottom of the slip that could cause the slip to silt up.

Be sure to sand the pvc pipe before using it.

My only other suggestion is to use the PVC drip tube and not the pipes. The drip tube is flexible and you can run through the chain without too much effort and it stays put.

Anything you ca do to darken that water will bring in da crappie. Take a tarp, stretched tight across the water and tied off to the supports under the walkways. Cut a few squares to lower lines or just leave about a 6 inch space around the walkways. Not a condo, can be easily removed if you leave the slip and I assure you the darker water will hold da fish. smile

Great idea Bigdave1. I knew I could count on you guys to come up with some creative ideas.
As my Daddy used to say" There's more than one way to skin a horse"

If nothing else works you could always put some brush in the water in the front of your slip area. The marina has no legal control over that water unless the marina is located within the boundaries of a State Park or a Community Lake.

Non-slip holders could place brush there if they wanted and his only recourse would be to try and remove it after they left.

Then you could fish the water in your slip area behind the brush plus the water in front of your slip where the brush is located.

But I still think talking with the marina operator and explaining that you would be hanging the attractors so you can retrieve them instead of just dumping them in the water would be the best way to handle this.

You can always go to Plan 2 in the middle of the night if he refuses to listen to reason. roflmao

I have two porcupine fish attractors at the front of my slip and two at the rear of my slip that I placed there last year. I plan to hang some xmas trees along the sides of the slip next month.

Last year I used rods at the stern of my pontoon to fish the slip side of the attractors and floats to fish the open water section.

I haven't been able to fish most of this year but am hoping I find this area to be productive when I start fishing on a regular basis again in the next month or so.

Time for night ops!!!! We sunk pallets, brush, all after closing. Hauled it in on pontoon, no evidence was left. Started catching fish the next morning!!!
