What is the easiest way to get to the cable on the shift lever? It's all behind fiberglass. Skeeter SX186.

disconnect the old throttle cable at the engine, and tie it off somewhere out of the way.
and buy a 2 foot longer cable and run it from engine to hot foot.

that is the best and easiest way to do it. and you'll have a back up just incase the hot foot
breaks or cable breaks,etc.

Just make sure tha motor end is clear of every thing and cable will still move. It still moves with tha handle. Even just using control handle ta engage sometimes it gets shoved way past tha "just in gear" part. If it gets ina bind it will still "effect" tha shifter...........jmo
