 WV Smallmouth Personal Best!!!

This is my personal best smallmouth. Up to this point it was 5.9. I have been wanting to get a 6 and almost got a 7 with this Monster. Not long after getting this fish I got to see an A-6 Intruder fly over the river I was fishing... It made the day even more special.. I almost talked myself out of going, winds were howling on 11/24 and just didn't want to fight it in my Tracker.. I walked outside and my neighbor was going Muskie fishing and I said to myself... I'm going. Just so happens about the time that I texted my neighbor this pic he was releasing his PB Muskie..

Smallies are my favorite freshwater species. A 7lb+ smallie is probably my number 1 bucket-list fish. Been a few times to waters where a 7lb smallmouth is possible . .so far my personal best is about 4.5lbs.
