Anyone have some recent info on walleye fishing on Wheeler Branch? I was thinking about taking my father and his wife out there tomorrow. It will be my first time on the lake, and I understand no gas motors are allowed to run on the lake. Thanks for any info!

yes you are correct. You can have a gas motor and use it to get on your trailer and off but that's it. Trolling motor after that. Go to the cove to the right of the Dam.

Southwest Outdoors Report did a good feature on Walleye fishing at Wheeler Branch. Scroll down to the Walleye issue.

I watch this show when it came out a few weeks ago, it's the reason why I'm headed out there. The water temp has dropped pretty good since this show and I'm wondering how the walleye move with the cooler water temps.

Got on the water at 1:30 and fished til sunset. Fished several areas of the lake and all depths in between. Managed to catch only one fish and it was a Walleye!! Caught it on a drop off 25-35 FOW. Water temp was 56. Neat little lake, very quite and peaceful.
