We did launch at Lakeview (Only Boat There)! I would say it wont take much more of a drop in water lever to close this ramp as well Cautiously made our way down to the main lake, Johnny is correct the lake is very dangerous right now. Especially anywhere north of the island. We marked fish and bait constantly with very little action. Actually snagged more shad than fish. One tiny cat and one 10 inch sandy!
May give it a go one more time in the near future! Anyone have any pointers?
We tried slabs,traps,u-rigs,flukes,spoons,ect!?! Mostly in the range of 20-25 fow!

low bass, you are a braver man than me! EM needs to come up a lot before I get back on it.
Have not fished much this year, but I used to get them casting to shore at Babtist point or deadsticking just south of the flats, south of the (used to be island). good luck!

I have been out there about every weekend for the past month or so... I launch at Lakeview, but I have a 16 foot nitro, so I only need a foot and a half of water and I can go.
I normally fish for bass, but have been into catfishing lately and I love Eagle..
My last trip out was Sunday (11/30), I was the only boat there when I left.. I launched and went south... just got to be careful, but the shallowest it got out on my trip was about 2 feet.
I have a spot I go to for catfish on the lower end of the lake near the new launch they built. I caught about 20 with the biggest going about 6 I guess. I was able to find shad in a small shallow creekbed...lots and lots of shad. All in about 2 feet of water. In one of my casts with the net I caught about a 4 pound bass.. he was released.
The fishing is good, and the lake is not getting much pressure right now...but if you go out, just keep those eyes on the depth finder. I would go south if I were you... stay on the lower end of the lake.. Stay well to the left of the island and watch your depth.. once you pass the island you are good to go on plane.
Tight lines.
