For flouro I've always used the improved clinch. Just watched a youtube video on the san diego jam and it got me thinking about changing. Which do you prefer and is the san diego any better than the improved clinch?

Trilene knot has never failed me and it's easy to tie!

I like them both but I can tie a double clinch with confidence and with less of a tag end to waste. JMO

Can't compare, so maybe I shouldn't talk, but I will say this--I switched from the Palomar to the San Diego jam knot this summer, and have been much happier. I was breaking off occasionally on hook sets with fluoro/palomar and haven't had that happen since I switched to the San Diego jam knot. Easy knot to tie as well.

I have used the improved clinch for as long as I can remember with no problems, both with Braid and all the other lines , I use a Loop knot for topwaters and I use a blood knot for joining two lines together

I use different knots for different line types. Palomar for braid. Improved cinch for flourocarbon. The "old knot" for mono. Square knot for my shoes. Lol. JK.

Yep that's the one I prefer also, it's called the doubled uni--Aaron Martens uses it also.

I use either the Palomar or improved clinch. Blood knot for line to line. I know there are better knots but these work for me and I've been tying them for a long time.
